What is a child sleep consultant?

A child sleep consultant is a professional who specialises in helping families address sleep challenges. They provide expert advice and tailored strategies to help your child establish healthy sleep habits, improve sleep routines and overcome common sleep issues such as night waking’s, bedtime battles and nap transitions.

At what age should I seek help from a sleep consultant?

It’s never too early to start fostering good sleep habits. Sleep consultants can work with children from infancy through to toddlers and even older children. Whether you're expecting a baby or struggling with an older child’s sleep, a sleep consultant can provide support and create a plan for your family’s needs.

How do I know which service is right for my family?

If you're unsure which service best fits your needs, I offer a Free 15 Minute Consultation. During this call, we’ll discuss your child’s sleep challenges, your goals, and help determine which service would be most beneficial for your family. From there, I can guide you through a customised sleep plan.

Can you help with multiple children or twins?

Yes! I am happy to assist families with multiple children or twins. I offer tailored advice and strategies that address the sleep needs of each child individually while also ensuring a smooth family routine. An additional charge of £50 per package applies for twins or siblings.

Will I have to let my baby “cry it out”?

While some families may choose to use a controlled crying method, I never advocate for any strategy that feels uncomfortable for you or your baby. My goal is to support you with gentle, compassionate techniques that help your child sleep better, without unnecessary distress.

How can a sleep consultant help my child?

A sleep consultant works closely with you to assess your child’s current sleep situation and identify any issues. Based on their assessment, they create a personalised sleep plan that suits your child's age, development, and specific needs. A consultant will guide you through the plan and offer support to help you achieve better sleep for your child.

What kinds of sleep issues can a sleep consultant help with?

A sleep consultant can assist with a wide range of sleep challenges, including: difficulty in self-soothing, night waking’s and early rising, bedtime battles and resistance, feeding-to-sleep associations, short naps or nap transitions, sleep regressions, co-sleeping issues and developing a consistent sleep schedule.

Do I need to follow a strict sleep training method or strategy?

I believe in a gentle, personalised approach to sleep. There is no "one-size-fits-all" method. I focus on strategies that align with your parenting style and your child’s temperament. Whether you prefer a more gradual or direct approach, I will tailor recommendations to suit your comfort level.

How long will it take to see results?

Every child is different and the timeline for improvement can vary depending on the child’s age, the consistency of the approach and the specific sleep challenges being addressed. Some families see improvements in a few days, while others may take a few weeks.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes! I offer a range of packages that include ongoing support through email or telephone. Depending on the service you choose, you’ll receive daily check-ins, follow-up calls, and continued guidance to ensure you stay on track as you work through the sleep plan.
